As Nigerian workers join their counterparts across the world to celebrate May Day, digital transformation leader, Globacom, has urged them to persevere despite current challenges and global economic hardship.
The company made the call in a goodwill message sent to the country’s labour force on Saturday. It noted that the workers had over the years been strong pillars of nation-building, and commended them for contributing their quota to the economic and social development of the country.
Globacom urged Nigerian workers to remain dedicated to duty and redouble their efforts at achieving excellence in the workplace, adding that they should continue to contribute towards building a strong work culture that will engender industrialisation and prosperity.
“We congratulate Nigerian workers as they join their counterparts all over the world to mark another Workers’ Day. Their commitment to nation-building and their resilience over the years is well appreciated.
“We salute their dedication and uncommon courage, and wish to use the occasion of the Workers’ Day celebration to urge them to rededicate themselves to the social and economic development of the country”, Globacom said.
It acknowledged the difficult times facing workers and the nation as a whole and urged them not to despair, as it was hopeful the country would overcome the challenges.
Globacom pledged to continue to offer innovative and value-added products and services to support workers in the public and private sectors in delivering services to Nigerians in all spheres of life
