The wife of an Israeli engineer and  Erelu Atayese of Iyin-Ekiti, Chief Kemi Elebute-Halle has urged  Nigerians to imbibe the spirit of giving back to society, particularly to the poor and the needy.
Chief Elebute- Halle who is the founder and grand matron of Dominion Group gave this admonition after Oba Adeniyi Ajakaiye conferred her with the Chieftaincy title alongside her husband, Engineer Haim Halle –  who also becomes the Atayese of Iyin Kingdom.
The Erelu Atayese also used the occasion to impact the lives of many indigenes of the community through a far-reaching Empowerment programme.
As part of the activities marking the occasion, Mrs. Elebute Halle visited the Erelu Adebayo Children Home where she donated some consumable items to the inmates.
No fewer than 500 people benefitted from the various items distributed at the grand finale of the first Coronation Anniversary of the Oluyin.
At the event,200 Helmets were given free to Okada riders, 5kg bags of Rice for 150 people, and cash gifts to the less privileged in the community including cash gifts.
She was said to have used her influence to attract a number of top-class Northern Emirs to Iyin-Ekiti for the Coronation anniversary among who was the  Etsu Nupe and Chairman, Niger State Council of Traditional Rulers, Alhaji (Dr )Yahaya Abubakar.
At the Children’s Home, Mrs. Halle donated items like noodles, malt, children’s sneakers, plates and spoons, eggs, table water, clothing to the home.
She also gave a donation of one hundred thousand naira and promised to remit the same amount to support the upkeep of the children on monthly basis.
In her remarks, Erelu Atayese disclosed that the interventions were her ways of giving succor to the children and her renewed vigour to see them achieving their God-giving potentials in life regardless of their present conditions.
While stating that there is a need for attitudinal change by people in reaching out to vulnerable citizens as commanded by God, added that parents have a lot to do in instilling discipline on their wards on the need to eschew social vices.
She said, ” I want to believe that all of us are babies in the hands of God irrespective of age. I want to care for everyone around me irrespective of their age or where they come from. I have always been passionate about the less privileged in society, I wish I can take care of everyone in the world, where everyone will be fine and comfortable.
” Whatever you give, you are going to get it back, it is the law of nature. I will say it from the point of the holy scripture that when you give, people will give back to you in good measure. I am just fulfilling nature and doing what God asked me to do.
“I want to plead with the society to be responsive and be responsible. Everybody has a place he or she comes from to this world. It is not everyone that can cope with the issues of life and that is why you see abandoned children in our society. I want our men to take responsibility and when they know they can’t take responsibilities, they should leave the ladies alone. Our ladies must also see that whenever they see a man not capable of taking responsibilities, they should run away from such individuals.
”  It is beyond the government, sensitization should start from our homes, let us train our children the right way. Our parents must be responsible for the children.”
On the chieftaincy title, she commended Oba Ajakaye for recognizing them which she said would further spur them to continue contributing to the development of the society by empowering the people.
” I have done a lot for the society raging from employment and other empowerment and I want to appreciate the Oluyin-Iyin Ekiti for the chieftaincy title conferred on my husband and me, ” she said.
Mrs. Elebute- Halle was said “to have come atop her peers as the Best Youth Corps Member of the year 2009 in Adamawa State.
