Business and commercial activities were paralysed in Enugu on Saturday following the solidarity rally embarked upon by the supporters of the Labour Party Presidential candidate, Peter Obi.
The mammoth crown which converged at the Michael Okpara Square in the morning marched through the city of Enugu, singing solidarity songs for Obi and dancing as they moved.
It was observed that members and supporters of political parties other than Obi’s Labour Party participated in the rally.
The rally which was conducted peacefully also attracted some residents, who were not part of the crowd as they abandoned their activities to join the crowd chanting “Obi is our next president”.
