Following the death of their son, Ifeanyi, a Nigerian singer has sent a heartfelt condolence to David Adeleke, aka Davido and his fiance, Chioma, known as Chef Chi.

In a post on Instagram, Simi said that it is cruel no matter the chaos, pain, suffering, or loss that is consuming someone, life doesn’t stop. The ‘Duduke’ crooner wished life would take several moments of silence to cry with the broken, hurt with them and hopefully heal them.

“We would rather not feel sorrow than hope for a hand to hold when sorrow comes. Nobody wants to see their tragedy as the news of the day. Just a little angel baby, their little baby. Words and condolences feel hollow and useless. Our hearts are broken, imagine what their hearts look like,” she wrote.

On Monday night, Davido lost his 3-year-old son when the boy allegedly drowned in a swimming pool in the singer’s Banana Island residence.

Following the tragic incident, on Tuesday, the police detained eight domestic staff of the singer for questioning, including the late Ifeanyi’s nanny and cook. The police sources said they were not officially arrested but were questioned on the charge of criminal negligence.

Six of the eight individuals arrested in connection to the case have been released, and two are still with the police.

Friends and fans of the singer and his fiance, Chioma Rowland, were shocked Monday night when news of the demise of the late Ifeanyi broke.

So far, Davido and Chef Chi have been off social media as they deal with the sad occurrence. The late Ifeanyi’s Instagram account with the handle @davidifeanyiadeleke has also been deactivated.

The Instagram was created by his parents when he turned three on October 20. The account boasted almost 80,000 followers.
