APC Will Not Survive After 2023 As Ruling Party Is An Alliance Between CPC, Tinubu’s Party–Atiku

Atiku and Tinubu

The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar has predicted the death of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) after the 2023 elections.

Speaking at the inauguration of the PDP Youth Campaign Council, Atiku said that the APC will not survive beyond the 2023 election.

Atiku, who said that APC is not a political party, but an alliance between The Congress for Progressive Change (CPC) and Bola Tinubu’s party, the Action Congress (AC), added that the ruling party will be dead after being voted out of power.

He said: “Let me congratulate the members of the PDP Youth Campaign Council for being inaugurated today. PDP is making history in the sense that we are the first political party in the country to inaugurate a youth Council. But this is not a surprise because we are the oldest political party in the history of Nigeria, since the creation of Nigeria, there has never been a political party as old as PDP.

“We are 25 years now, so we have succeeded in laying the foundation for a sustained democracy in our country. You have a legacy to be proud of by being a member of this political party. Let me, therefore, charge you with the responsibility of making sure that you carry the message of the PDP to the nooks and crannies of the country.

“The youth council is another step to further enthroned democracy, and sustain democracy in our country through our own political parties. Therefore, I charge you to mobilize all Nigerians for PDP.”

Speaking further, Atiku said: “To be honest, PDP is the only political party, APC is not a political party, it is an alliance between the CPC and Tinubu’s party, and we have seen how alliances in this country have disappeared overnight, I don’t think APC would survive after this election, we are going to vote them out and by the time we vote them out, they will be dead.”

Also speaking, the Deputy National Chairman, North, Amb. Umar Damagum, charged the youths to take destiny into their hands.

He cautioned them against untoward behavior like what transpired in Maiduguri, Borno state on Wednesday, when the convoy of the presidential candidate of PDP, Atiku Abubakar was attacked by miscreates believed to be sponsored by the All Progressives Congress.

“This is an opportunity given to you to take your destiny into your hands. It’s an opportunity for you because this National Youth Campaign Council is the first of its kind.
The Youth content Council is born out of the fact that the future of this country is in your hands.

Noting that nations are built through the teeming youths, Damagum said, “if you have a very pleasurable teaming population of youth, you know that there will be development in that country.

“I want to use this opportunity to also caution you, while you are going about campaigning in various nooks and crannies of this country, not to behave like their youths, which we’ve seen yesterday.

This is what they always do but I believe that ours are law-abiding citizens, they are up and doing, they go for the issue-based campaign and that is what we expect you to do.

“We have laid down a framework for you to campaign with, our previous achievements have sealed it all. When we were in government during Obasanjo and Atiku and during the administration of Goodluck Jonathan, everything good that happened in this country happened at that time. So, you have parameters.”

The National Youth Leader, Suleiman Kandede, who express the joy of taking up the assignment, pledged to serve with everything so that PDP will come out better in 2023.

On the charges given to the youths, the National Youth Leader said, “our campaign must focus on the polling unit. We must mobilize Nigerian youth at the polling unit and task them to vote and secure victory at the unit for our party.

“Our job is not in Abuja but in the local government, ward and also polling units and we must all return to the grassroots.”

Lamenting what is happening in the country, he said, “in our country today, we have been subjected to an unprecedented hardship and inhuman treatment, the student was kept at home for almost seven months and as I speak their resumption in various Universities is shaky as lecturers have threatened to return to the trenches because of insecurity of this APC government.”

On the PDP presidential candidate, he said: “We have a good product to market, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar is the product, he is the hope for the youth, the only one who ‘sabi the road’, a tried and tested leader, an epitome of industry and ethics, an educationist. Let us go and market him.”
