Brig. General Buba Marwa (rtd), Chairman, National Drug Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) and former Military Administrator of Lagos State is expected to attend the 6th Annual Strategic Leadership Summit on Good Governance in Lagos as Special Guest of Honour.
He will also be honoured with the prestigious Leadtimes Africa Leadership Prize for Strategic National Development holding in Lagos next month.
According to a statement in Lagos signed by Professor Buba S. Mshelia, Advisory Board Chairman, Leadtimes Africa Magazine, “it is our little way of recognising excellence in quality service delivery by a patriotic leader like Gen. Marwa, who has distinguished himself in the war against illicit drugs trade in Nigeria.”
Three state governor’s wives are among eminent personalities that will also attend the summit. They include Her Excellency, Hajiya Rashida Yahaya Bello of Kogi State; FirstLady Her Excellency, Hajiya Magajiya Badaru Abubakar of Jigawa, and her Gombe State counterpart, Her Excellency, Hajiya Asma’u Inuwa Yahaya.
Others are Prince Ajibola Adedoyin, National, President of Motor Dealers’ Association of Nigeria, who will also be honoured with Mr Stephen Amaechi Chinemelem, CEO of FEDAN Investment Ltd; and Chief Idowu Obasa, Chairman, of Golden Chance Lotto.
The CEO of Candour Crest Group, Mrs Deborah Ogunbiade, as well as the National Secretary, Association of Motor Dealers of Nigeria, Hon. Alhaji Suleiman Kato.
Mrs Rhoda Agbeyo, CEO and Creative Director of Rhoda Michael Fashion Institute, will bag the honorary doctorate in Business Administration.
High Chief Mike Agbedor Abu Ozekhome, a renowned constitutional lawyer and a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), will also bag an honorary doctorate degree in International Law and Diplomacy for his resilience and firm belief in upholding the practice of true federalism in Nigeria.
According to a statement by Professor Prince Eze C. Nwuaba, African Representative of Prowess University, Delaware, USA, “The three governors’ wives of Kogi, Jigawa and Gombe have proved to be outstanding in quality service delivery in their respective states and also in the area of youth and women empowerment programs.
“It is at this backdrop that both of them will be conferred upon with Prowess University Honorary doctorate degree award come early December,” the statement added.
The theme of this year’s edition of the summit is: ‘Sustaining the War on Illicit Drug Trade in Africa through Good Governance in Leadership, Panacea for Sustainable Growth and Development in Nigeria.
The programme is powered and packaged by Leadtimes Africa Magazine in collaboration with other provisional bodies, including the Chartered Institute of Arts Professional (CIAP), USA, and the International Institute of Strategies Development (IISD) in conjunction with Prowess University, Delaware, USA, which is expected to confer honorary doctorate degree awards on few outstanding personalities that have lived above board in the leadership circle.
Other participants will be inducted as fellow of International institute of Strategies Development (FIISD) and Fellow of Chartered Institute of Professionals (FCIAP), respectively, during the summit.

Other notable honorary awardees of the Prowess University billed for early December 2022 include Hon. Chief Paschal Okolie of IMO State House of Assembly; Olufunke T. Odeyemi, CEO of both Icon-Prime Limited and Beloved Home Health Care LIC, Baltimore, Maryland, USA.
She is expected to bag an honorary doctorate in Public Health Care Administration, as Ms Obruche Vivian Onogoro will be decorated with an honorary doctorate degree in Environmental Law and Sustainable Development.
Mr Oloyede Olatunde, the Managing Director/CEO of Crystal Tee Square Limited, Lagos, is listed for an honorary doctorate degree in Business Administration as Engr. Ikenna Lazarus Igbochuba, CEO of First Property Hub profiles Limited, will receive an honorary doctorate degree award in Real Estate Development.
Mr Adeyinka Adesope, CEO of Palton Morgan Homes limited will be honoured with doctorate degree in Business Administration as well as Mr Ibhazekholor Utomi Tomi, CEO of Anthomi Properties Nigeria Limited who will also the same award on Business Administration.
An award of honorary doctorate degree in Entrepreneurship and Business Management will be conferred on Martina Amarachi Ononiwu, while Mrs Sowunmi Mojisola Oluyemisi will bag honorary doctorate degree award in Educational Psychology and Management.
Engr. (Mrs) Braimah Lara Sarat of National Inland Waterways Authority and a Fellow of Nigerian Society of Engineers, will be honoured with doctorate degree in Science, as Mr Bemigho Scott Emuakpor will be decorated with honorary doctorate degree in Business Administration.
Also listed for honor is the National President of Independent Petroleum Marketing Association of Nigeria (IPMAN), Alhaji Debo Ahmed, and the CEO of Upper Level Ltd, Alhaji Shehu Mohammed, including Mr Rilwan Atiku, CEO of Rice Ton Homes & Property Ltd, among few others.
Nigerian former Ambassador to Spain, Amb. Dr Chief Mrs Susan Aderonke Folarin will also serve as Special Guest at the occasion and will bag Leadtimes Africa Magazine Strategic Leadership Award for her outstanding service in National Development and her tremendous contributions to the civil service reforms in Ogun State as the immediate-past Chairman, Ogun State Civil Service Commission.
It would be recalled that the First Lady of Kwara State, Her Excellency Amb. Dr Mrs Olufolake Abdulrazaq, and her Bayelsa State counterpart, Her Excellency Amb. Dr Mrs Gloria Diri, bagged honorary doctorate degree in Social Policy and Administration of the Prowess University, Delaware, USA, in June and September 2022 respectively, as well as a renowned legal icon and solicitor, Barr. Dr Alexander Utieyin Scott, among others.
At this summit, few Nigerians will be inducted as Fellows of various professional bodies, including the FCIAP and FIISD respectively.
