El- Rufai Enjoys Controversy, He Can Protest Against Himself, Says Senator Hanga

Miffed Senator Rufai Hanga, pioneer national chairman of the defunct Congress for Progressive Change (CPC) has described Governor Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna state as a non-conformist who takes delight in courting controversy wherever he is.

Speaking in an interview with DAILY INDEPENDENT, the former APC chieftain said even if there is nothing to protest about, El-Rufai will carry a placard and protest against himself all in a bid to stir up controversy.
He said “El-Rufai is non-conformist. He is so controversial that if you allow him to stay without any controversy, tomorrow, he will come and protest against himself. He will raise a placard against himself and start protesting. He delights in controversy”.
“He is a man of several talks. He will say this today and do another thing tomorrow. Even the local people in Kaduna know the kind of person he is. This is somebody who was seriously bootlicking Atiku, now he has betrayed Atiku”.
“Obasanjo came and made him what he was. He later abused Obasanjo in his book he wrote ‘Accidental Public Servant’. He abused Buhari but when Buhari came to him, he was there always kneeling down. Tomorrow, we will see what he will say to Buhari. That is the kind of person El-Rufai is and he cannot change” .
