Delta: Augoye Is Candidate To Beat In 2023

A political pressure group, operating under the aegis of Augoye Liaison Group has described the immediate past Commissioner for Works, Chief James Augoye as a competent and reliable man that can further develop the state to an enviable standard come 2023 political dispensation.

In a statement made available to Newsmen at the weekend in Warri by the leader, Hon. Murphy Oleju said the two-time commissioner has all it takes to vastly improve the lots of Deltans by ensuring that both young and the aged are taken care of.

Hon Oleju with whom is the Programme’s Director; Engr. Ovie Frank Onome remarked that Chief James Augoye, a technocrat is a detribalised man who will be ready to carry everybody along.

“The choice of Augoye among the lots of contestants came after a thorough scrutiny of persons that have signalled their interest to contest as Governor of the State,” said the group leader, insisting that Deltans should support the amiable man.

According to the group, the wisdom of the governorship aspirant is not contestable even as his antecedent will speak for him in its entire ramification. He added that it was high time we supported a man that can deliver the dividends of democracy to the doorstep of every Deltans.

Explaining further why Chief Augoye will defeat other PDP aspirants, Hon Oleju contended that the Urhobo-born tactician from Okpe kingdom and ambassador of peace is well focused and has the strong political machinery that cannot be erased.

“There is no doubt that the PDP strongman is the candidate to beat at the PDP Governorship primary because Chief Augoye is a tested leader and a politician who knows his onus” Above all, he is a God-fearing man who believes that everyone is equal before the Almighty God, stressed Hon. Oleju is also a PDP stalwart in the state.

Commending the incumbent Governor Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa for being forthright, his developmental strides, and respect for all and sundry. Hon. Oleju enjoined the people to continue to support the Governor in order to achieve greater height and the lofty dreams he has for Deltans.

He, however, advised politicians in the State to be peaceful and law-abiding, adding “In politics, there is no victor, no vanquish.”
