Kidnap Kingpin Nabbed, Two Others At Large As Abducted Victim Regains Freedom in Delta


Police Operatives in Delta State have nabbed kidnap kingpin, Emuesiri Umukoro during the rescue of abducted traveler in Oghara, Ethiope West Local Government Area of the State.

Saturday INDEPENDENT gathered that the 27 year old suspect was apprehended following the abduction of one Mohammed Sekinat along Koko Junction, Oghara.

It was revealed that the three armed men attacked their victims who were driving to Lagos in a Futon Truck with reg Nom FST 345 YD.


It was disclosed that the armed men whisked the female occupant of the vehicle while the male driver escaped into the bush.

It was reported that the Command received information from a distressed caller (name withheld) that on 04/10/021 at about 2330hrs, while he was driving to Lagos in a Futon Truck with registration No. FST 345 YD  in company of his girlfriend  one Mohammed Sekinat ‘female’ aged 27 years, he was blocked along Koko road junction  Oghara  by a three man armed robbery/kidnapping gang.

It was further learnt that Operatives attached to Oghara Division were immediately dispatched  to the area after which they located the hideout of the hoodlums along Pan Ocean road by Koko junction.

It was learnt that the gang members on sighting the Police teams, took to their heels abandoning the kidnapped victim as one of the suspect Emuesiri Umukoro aged 27 was arrested.

The victim identified the suspect as a member of the gang who kidnapped her.

It was further revealed that a manhunt has begun for the fleeing members of the gang.
